Noe Valley Sign & Pollinator Garden
Friends of Noe Valley is creating a neighborhood gateway sign and pollinator garden at the median strip at 24th Street and Dolores. The project has two goals: celebrating the 24th Street merchant corridor and strengthening our neighborhood's sense of identity.
- The sign will be designed with community input to reflect Noe Valley's unique character.
- The garden will extend the Dolores Street Pollinator Boulevard, which currently runs along Dolores at Market Street.
- The project is a collaboration between Friends of Noe Valley, the Noe Valley Merchants Association, and the Noe Valley Association.

Project Updates
September 2026 - Community Design Survey Results
Over 175 Noe neighbors cast their vote to pick their favorite choice from four different neighborhood sign designs. By far the most popular sign was a design shaped like Twin Peaks with Sutro Tower in the background. This design was created by Ben Davis of Illuminate, who is also a local Noe Neighbor!
August 2026 - Designs Proposed
One Hat, One Hand and Illuminate submitted designs for the Neighborhood sign. There was an initial round of discussions with the design committee and then the top designs were put to a community survey.
June 2026
Noe Valley Sign and Pollinator Garden Project started. Partners include:
